Copy & paste
There are a few things you will need to replace. First, the images. If you want to add your own images, just cut them in the right size in Photoshop and replace the current ones. Use http://tinypic.com to upload the images to a server. Then copy the direct link and replace the current image links.
Where do I find the image in the code?
It’s about the first thing you see in the code.
As you can see, I’ve already added the height and width values, so if you want your images to look great, make sure they are 320×284px.
Insert the links for your buttons
In order to make the Add to friend and Send message work, you need to find this:
Then, to find your unique links, right click on the Add To Friends link in the left side block, and chose “copy link adress”. Now you will have your link. Just paste it where it’s supposed to be. Then do the same thing for Send Message.
…or remove the buttons
If you feel like the buttons are just annoying, simply remove them deleting this code:
Please let the credits link stay as it is. It will hopefully give some more hits.

hello,
I would love to be able to use your layouts on my music myspace..but how whould i go about puting them on there since they are diffrent from the regular maypace layouts..it would be of a great help if i could use it on my music space..thanks

Ok, you have to click [Safe Mode] instead of [Edit Profile] as a musician. Hope that helps.

What i would love is code for making the blog match the page layout … that would make me uber happy.

OK, so I put this up on my myspace but the background isn’t fixed so the banner stripe (The grayish color that extends) follows when you scroll down the page.
Any idea on how to fix this problem?

Yeah, myspace blogs are possible to skin but it’s a tad different than your main myspace page.
I do think the coding is the same though.
You should give it a shot, it’d be amazing to have matching layout/blog layout.

I must say i’m rather in love with this layout, it’s gorgeous. A bit of advice tho, how do you change the picture of the guitar to one of your own? I’ve tried a few things but nothing seems to work :/

I still cannot get this to work for a myspace music… I go into “safe-mode” and enter it, but still, nothing happens I just get a generic background and nothing from you all shows up?

Do you have any old myspace code on the myspace page? Did you use their built in theme generator for example? If so, make sure you go into that thing and remove all of that code (there is a button to change back to default, which takes away all that code)

I am in SAFE MODE and all other code has been deleted, but I still get the following message for all of your layouts:
You may enter HTML/DHTML or CSS in any text field. Javascript is not allowed.
Use “Safe Mode” to view your HTML code without displaying it’s formatting.
You can fix your page if it gets munched!

Justin, simply scroll down in the code you copied and pasted. Pretty early in the code, as you scroll down, you’ll see:
Simply replace the text there with whatever you want. If you want to remove the 08. just remove that text, do not touch the HTML tags though. Just remove the text, or change it to what you want it to be.

what programs do you use to create this layouts?
i’ve been trying to learn how so i can create my own but not sure what else to use besides photoshop..to create design. But what about the coding can you give some insight on that…css.html.xhtml?…any good programs you recommend…thank you.

Hey Jose! There are 2 programs I create everything with when it comes to websites – Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 (coding). I belive Dreamweaver is the best thing to get if you want to start coding.

Awesome layouts, they look great! I’m trying this acoustic layout… the music player on my page doesn’t load, and I have two embedded youtube videos that don’t load either. Any thoughts?

Checked your page. Both your music player and youtube videos works for me. What web browser are you using? Internet Explorer? May I suggest Firefox ? ;)

The only issue i have is;
My layout looks great in Firefox.
In IE my comment images are TINY and my online now icon for my friends are BIG.
What code is compatible for both browsers?

Hey!
I love this layout! It’s so amazing! but I just had one question, I was hoping to change the background image of the “top friends” box, but every time I try, the html code overwrites it. I was wondering if there was a way to change the background image of the different modules without interupting the html code?

But I’ve got a little problem: All the individual texts in boxes like ‘interests’, ‘details’, ‘education’, etc. (all on the left side of the page) appear very small. You can’t read anything. What’s wrong?`

Hi Sue. I’ve updated the code and it should be fine now. If you want to fix your own code instead of re-copying it again, simply search for
body { font-size: 1px; etc... }Switch 1px to 11px, and the problem will be solved. Use the search function in the web browser and look for “font-size: 1px”, and it should automaticly find it with 1 click.

Hi Jose, awesome layout! I was just wondering if you can tell me what bit of code to change for the height of the header bit. I can see a bit of the “myspace music” icon peeping out over the top and it’s kind of frustrating me. Also what part of the code changes the background colour of the main bit of the page? I would like the background a little bit darker in contrast to the information boxes just so they stand out a bit more. Thank you for all your help in advance.

First of all, great looking layout. It is one of the best ones I have seen floating around the interwebs. I am having the same issue as Lucy, however. There is a little problem with the spacing and about half of the “music myspace” toolbar is showing. Is there an easy way for me to fix this in the code? Thanks.

Hello! This is a very beautiful page. I have used it to update a musician’s webpage at http://www.myspace.com/uofljazz. Everything is perfect except for the music player which is being resized and therefore it cannot be see completely. How do I correct this? I’ve read through the code and tried to manually change table positions but none have affected the music player. I was hoping you may be able to help me. Thank you in advance!!!

Hi me again, my web designer got it to work, we did some redesign on your design but we left your link intact and added in the highlight of name of header, Designed by Design MySpace/Customized by CRBN Designs.. Hope this is alright, just needed to colors etc. to match the look we were needing! Thanks for creating such nice designs and allowing us to use them!

This is beautiful!
I put this on my myspace music and then wanted to change it out for another one of your layouts but I cant figure out how. If I go to edit profile, and then click on the the Musician Details link it shows up the same template, only that it covers the Bio (where I pasted the code) and I cant get to it to change it. Am I going to have to delete my account to change the look of my page? Please be sure to let me know

Alex, how can I bump the main header up a bit so that it covers the ugly blue and white Myspace Music bar? (I’m using it in a Music profile) I changed a line inside the code for the top .masthead from 195 to 173, which moved up the centre portion perfectly, but not the two pads to either side.

Hi Alexander, I am having the same issue Paul is with the header covering up the myspace music bar. I would like to move it up or down, preferably up covering the music bar and am having trouble making it look right. Any suggestions? Thanks for the great work!
